We also provide "Remote Service Management" (RSM) across multiple industries or applications - for example monitoring of renewable energy sources, local authority land fill sites, etc.

RSM is a 4 layer solution comprising

  • Sensors / instrumentation - provides local monitoring of an asset 
  • Edge device / plc, gathers the data from the sensors and provides local monitoring / control
  • Telemetry or telecommunications - transmits data back to a Centralised server or cloud based system
  • Central computer - server or cloud based system that provides overall system functionality and provides information to operators / managers through a GUI, text messages, tablets etc depending on the application.

 

Yes we have engineers qualified in intrinsically safe equipment and knowledge of ATEX systems and requirements and with an understanding and experience associated with deploying systems in hazardous areas.

Yes, almost all of the work that we carry out on site involves working with ,upgrading or interfacing to legacy systems. Our knowledge and experience across a wide range of PLCS, scada, DCS and PCS systems means that we have probably worked on a similar system in the past. Depending on a number of criteria (age of installation, OEM support for the product, the application, ongoing support,etc) we can modify existing units or determine the most cost effective way to upgrade them or install a new unit to support the additional functionality.

We work closely with the client to optimise the overall solution.

Yes, almost all of the work that we carry out on site involves working with, upgrading or interfacing to legacy systems. Our knowledge and experience across a wide range of PLCS, scada, DCS and PCS systems means that we have probably worked on a similar system in the past. Depending on a number of criteria (age of installation, OEM support for the product, the application, ongoing support,etc) we can modify and upgrade existing units to latest hardware and software standards.

If the plc / system is obsolete we will determine the most cost effective way to upgrade or upgrade them or install a new unit to support the additional functionality.

Yes, we can provide training on all aspects of our services and technologies. This can be classroom based services or on-site. Instrumentation training courses always include real site work to ensure that participants benefit from our vast field experience. 

We have standard training courses, but can also produce bespoke packages for a project or application.
